After six weeks of covering the General Election campaign MyLondon is gearing up to deliver non-stop covering as events unfold. Throughout this period we have travelled in all four corners of the city to get as many voices as possible in our coverage.

On Thursday, July 4, and into the early hours of Friday, make sure to follow along as we provide updates and analysis on what’s set to be a dramatic night of results. We’ll be the first to provide coverage on all 75 seats up for grabs in London.

You can follow our live updates via a live blog which will be running throughout tomorrow and overnight as results come in. You can also check our website and social media channels for the latest, while we also have a dedicated WhatsApp channel for election news sent directly to you.

Ahead of July 4, we’ve spoken to Londoners across the city to get an insight into how different communities are voting. Voters in Tory stronghold Old Bexley and Sidcup told MyLondon they were sticking to their Conservative roots as one said he wouldn’t trust Keir Starmer “to run a bath, let alone the country”.

Voters in Finchley and Golders Green – projected to be one of the closest races in London – said the incumbent Tories “need to get the house in order”, while MyLondon also spoke to people in Brent Central which had the second lowest voter turnout in 2019 behind Barking, where one person thought voting is “pointless” and “won’t change anything”.

We have also launched a new WhatsApp Community, where we will be providing updates as they happen through the night and into Friday, July 5. Simply click the link to join this community and you’re in.
