Clamp Hill in Harrow Weald is finally set to reopen this month following a delay
Several road closures are set to disrupt residents of Harrow this month while major utility and other works are carried out, although a number of roads are set to reopen having been closed to motorists for weeks.
Clamp Hill in Harrow Weald, which should have reopened on November 24, is finally expected to reopen on December 8. The road has been shut since late September whilst gas works took place. Willesden Gardens in South Harrow will close for around a fortnight for highway maintenance.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) has found all of the ongoing and planned road closures that are happening in December, according to one.network. Whilst some closures will only take place overnight, others will see roads shut for weeks or even months at a time.
Major closures include that of the Scot Grove in Hatch End, which will continue to remain closed for maintenance works by Thames Water until January 23, 2026. Roads in Harrow Weald and Kenton will reopen at the start of the month having been closed for water and gas works respectively
Below is a breakdown of all the road closures both ongoing and planned that will be in force throughout December and beyond. Residents should look out for diversion routes to avoid facing substantial disruptions.
Harrow road closures in December
- Scot Grove (Hatch End): Road closed from November 21 to January 23 for water works
- Clamp Hill (Harrow Weald): Road closed from October 7 to December 8 for gas works
- Church Lane (Harrow Weald): Road closed from November 19 to December 9 for water works
- Orchard Grove (Kenton): Road closed from November 21 to December 8 for gas works
- Farm Avenue (Rayners Lane): Road closed from December 1 to December 8 for gas works
- West Street (South Harrow): Road closed from December 1 to December 5 for electrical works
- Wilson Gardens (South Harrow): Road closed from December 1 to December 13 for highway maintenance
