Harry Potter fans might be the only ones who can name the films based on just one screenshot – test yourself and see if you can do it
If you have watched the Harry Potter films multiple times then you may have picked up on lots of different scenes and shots from each movie. Perhaps you can guess the film with just the musical intro – like this guy did and was named ‘husband material’ for it.
Or maybe you describe in-depth the character development as each film progresses. But could you name the Harry Potter film based on just one screenshot?
One TikToker – named Zogwarts – gave his followers the tricky task recently. The video has amassed over one million views and has nearly 1,000 comments.
The TikTok opens with him saying: “Can you guess the Harry Potter movie from one random screenshot? We’re going to do five rounds so let me know how you get on in the comments.”
We won’t reveal the answers in this article for you, but the creator tells viewers which film the screenshot is from after each round, so keep that in mind. The first shot, which Zogwarts said is “starting off quite easy” – is of the Great Hall.
It features, Harry, Ron and Hermione, along with other Hogwarts students clapping and celebrating. They all appear to be looking towards where school teachers would sit.
The second scene is a generic shot from Privet Drive and shows the Dursley’s house. Zogwarts exaplained: “Of course, not all movies feature Privet Drive so this narrows it down to a couple of them.”
For round three, we go back to the Great Hall but this shot is just of Hogwarts students eating and talking with one another. It’s more zoomed out and there isn’t a focus on any particular characters.
For round four, Zogwarts said ‘this is one of those scenes were fans will know it straight away or you won’t get it’. It is of a very dark snapshot of the Great Lake – be careful not to be caught out on this one.
For the final round, players are shown the Phoenix at the entrance to Dumbledore’s office. It does feature a couple of times throughout the series but eagle-eyed fans might be able to narrow it down.
In the comments, fans had mixed scores. Many of them said that they were able to guess the third one thanks to some recognisable pink clothing in the background.
While one person wrote: “This made me realise how much I’ve watched these movies cause I got them all.” And another said: “The last one nearly caught me out but the (picture) quality was a big clue.”
