If you’re wanting to get your hands on the new Harry Potter game coming out soon, then there’s a way fans can get it for free.
Last week it was revealed that a new wizarding game is coming out this year called Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.
The game will finally allow fans to have their own game of Quidditch right from their home.
It will be available to play on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) in September and then PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One on November 8th.
Prices for the game start from £24.99 and go up depending on whether you go for the standard or deluxe edition.
But there is a way that some players will be able to get the game completely free.
According to Games Radar, those with a Playstation Plus subscription will be able to add the game straight to their games library at no extra cost.
And as long as they continue with their subscription, they’ll be able to play the Quidditch game indefinitely.
Playstation Plus subscribers are given a free bonus every so often, but it is rare to already know what that freebie will be.
On top of that, players will also get a extra bonus – the Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions pre-order bonus Firebolt Supreme Broom Skin, despite the fact that they are not pre-ordering the game.
The free version for subscribers is the standard edition, you’ll need to pay for the deluxe edition if that was the one you fancied.
Gamers wanting to claim it will need to be quick
If you fancy getting yourself the free version then you’ll need to be quick as you only have until September 30th to download the game to their library.
You’ll be able to download it from September 3rd.
Subscribers may have already received an email telling them of the freebie – so make sure to check yours, including your junk, if you haven’t seen it already.
A Playstation Plus subscription costs £59.99 for a year but it does look like you must already have an active subscription to qualify for the free Potter game.
Subscribers are often given freebies, add-on content and multiplayer options.
The new game promises a magical experience with ‘flying fun’
The game is the latest launch from Warner Bros. Games and will provide players with an experience full of “flying fun”.
Users can play as any member of a Quidditch team. They’ll be able to choose whether they play amongst the Weasleys at The Burrow or at the Quidditch World Cup.
Potter fans can order either a standard or deluxe edition and upon order will be rewarded with the Firebolt Supreme Broom Skin.
The deluxe edition comes with fun extras to add to the experience including all four House Packs – the standard edition does not come with all four Hogwarts houses. On top of that, deluxe edition customers will get 2,000 gold to spend in-game as well.
When playing the game, users will be able to spot famous Quidditch faces including Ron Weasley and even Draco Malfoy. They’re both playable characters too.
