Meghan Markle delighted fans as she announced her return to the podcasting world, but it seems fans might have to wait a long time for any new releases from the Duchess of Sussex
Meghan Markle has been dealt a fresh blow as the relaunch of her podcast has been pushed back to 2025, according to reports.
The Duchess of Sussex delighted fans back in February as she announced a brand new partnership with Lemonada. The podcast network has distributed the first season of Meghan’s podcast Archetypes and it was revealed she will also be producing a new series.
However, it seems the new show has faced delays over fears of conflicts with the launch of Meghan’s new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard. Lemonada also reportedly doesn’t want the podcast launch to be overshadowed by Meghan’s new Netflix show.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source said: “The relaunch of Meghan’s Archetypes podcast got pushed back to 2025.” They claimed Lemonada is concerned there would be “scheduling conflicts” between the launch of its podcast and that of American Riviera Orchard.
Despite the setback, Meghan is believed to be working on her new podcast. A source told the publication she has a list of “very high-profile guests” she wants to interview for the show. The Mirror has approached representatives for Meghan and Lemonada for comment.
Meghan announced her partnership with Lemonada by releasing a statement earlier this year. She said: “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting. Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024.
“Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I’m so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family.”
Lemonada’s CEO and co-founder Jessica Cordova Kramer added: “Meghan’s talent as host, creator and conversationalist is unparalleled and we are thrilled to co-create a new series with her that fosters her approach to creating art that matters.”
Lemonada’s Chief Creative Officer and co-founder Stephanie Wittels Wachs concluded: “As we’ve started development with The Duchess of Sussex, we are blown away by her collaborative spirit and clear vision, along with her deep desire to build compassion and community through this work. The Lemonada team felt immediate kinship with Meghan and the Archewell Productions team, and we are delighted to be working together.”
Archetypes ran for 12 episodes back in 2022 and saw Meghan sit down for some very personal interviews with artists, athletes, and experts discussing the history of stereotypes against women. The Duchess of Sussex interviewed the likes of Paris Hilton, Serena Williams and Mariah Carey on the show.
However, it came to an end when the Sussexes ended their partnership with Spotify in June. After the axe, Bill Simmons, Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetisation at Spotify, hit out at Meghan and Prince Harry.
Speaking in an episode of his own podcast, Bill said: “The f***ing grifters. That’s the podcast we should have launched with them. I’ve got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories.”
