Police are hunting a man who broke a woman’s leg when he ran into her at a South London railway station. The suspect was running through London Waterloo just before 11pm on Thursday April 17 when he collided with the woman, throwing her into another woman and causing her to fracture her tibia, police say.
An image released by British Transport Police shows a smiling white man with dark hair, a grey jacket, black trousers, dark shoes, and light-grey pullover. The force say they want to speak to him in connection with the incident, and have urged the public to help with their investigation.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Do you recognise this man? Detectives investigating an assault at Waterloo railway station in April have today released these images in connection.
“Just before 11pm on Thursday 17 April, a man running through the station ran into a woman who was thrown back into another woman, suffering a broken tibia from the impact.
“Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may have information which could help their investigation.
“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 494 of 17 April. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
