A resident has been left at a loss of what to do after a neighbour from hell parked their for sale car in a dangerous part of the road, with many suggesting they ought to move the vehicle
A neighbour from hell has caused problems for a resident who is trying to get back at them with a petty move. But an attempt at talking to the neighbour has led to a “hazard” being left in the street which has been cause for concern with other residents on the street. The neighbour from hell seems somewhat blind to the problem, as they are refusing to do anything about it.
An anonymous resident has since taken to the r/NeighboursfromHell Reddit page and shared their trouble with the neighbour, who is trying to sell their car. While nobody on the street has a problem with the sale, it’s where the car is that’s causing issues.
Some believe the car is parked in such a way that it’s a danger to road users. A post to the subreddit reads: “Is it petty to report my neighbour for his truck parked on the corner?
“My neighbour on the corner of our street drives a huge lifted truck. He always has since I bought this house four years ago. That doesn’t bother me.
“What bothers me is that six months ago he bought a new lifted truck and parked his old one right on the corner with a ‘for sale, £17,000’ sticker on the back. That s**t creates a blind spot and I’ve almost been t-boned several times trying to leave the neighbourhood.
“He’s been called out in the community Facebook group by other neighbours but he doesn’t give a s**t. Is it petty to report him at this point?”
Members of the public believe they should report it as a safety hazard and see if they can have the truck towed away.
One person suggested: “Nope, it’s a hazard. Just check the distance from the edge of the vehicle to the intersection to see if it’s legally back far enough. If not, report it. Most likely he will receive a ticket.”
Another agreed, adding: “Call the non-emergency police number and report a safety hazard.” A third wrote: “Nope. But try to do so anonymously. It’s a hazard and has been sitting there a long time.
“He can easily move it somewhere else. If you’re the mean type you could put SALVAGE TITLE on the signage.”
Others believed the person who left the truck there could be in for a ticket at the very least. One wrote: “It is a ticket in most cities. Check your cities ordinances and it should be there.”
Another added: “Is it parked illegally? If so, report if. If not, don’t.” It seems the neighbourhood may have a problem on their hands when it comes to dealing with the parked car.
A third observer added: “We have a vehicle that blocks the view without being lifted, but it is legally parked. Sometimes you are just screwed.”
