A man has had alarm bells ringing after he found a worrying album on his ‘loving’ girlfriend’s phone – as his friends call it a ‘very serious matter’ and urge him to break up with her
You’d like to think that when in a relationship you know everything about your partner – but one man has been told he should break up with his girlfriend “immediately” after finding a worrying photo album on her phone.
People claim they can “manifest” their dream partner, but this man has realised his girlfriend may have taken a rather worrying approach to meeting him as his friends have told him it’s a “very serious matter” and urged him to break up with her.
He shared he’s been with his girlfriend for eight months and called her the “most loving” girlfriend he’s ever had. However after finding a secret photo album on her phone full of photos of him. Photos that he didn’t know had been taken – and before they were together which he claimed looked as if they had been taken from “a distance”. He’s now asked if he’s in danger as it appears his girlfriend had been “following” him before they got together.
The man he and his girlfriend had known each other since high school but didn’t go to the same school, but about a year ago they started to get close – and then she asked him out. He then revealed he started playing games on her phone and “got bored” so started to look through her photos.
He quickly stated he wasn’t “snooping” but claimed she just had “nothing interesting on her phone”. He took to Reddit to share his situation anonymously and said: “Among the folders, I noticed one titled ‘Love’ with my photo on the cover. Curiosity got the best of me, and I opened it to find that every photo was of me.
“Some were even embarrassing shots. As I scrolled further, I was surprised to see that some of the pictures were taken before we even started dating, including ones from my social media and Instagram stories.
“I was more shocked when I stumbled upon photos of me with my ex, as well as shots taken in bars I used to frequently go to. There were even pictures of me kissing other girls, most of which seemed to have been taken from a distance.”
With alarm bells ringing, he realised his girlfriend had been following him. He further detailed: “She was definitely stalking me and took pictures of me. I sent all those photos to me that night while she was sleeping. I asked my closest friends about this, and they told me it was a very serious matter and that I should consider breaking up with her immediately. At first, I thought they were just trying to scare me, but they seemed genuinely concerned.”
He then admitted he was struggling to wrap his head around the whole incident, and sought advice from others as he claimed he “loves her deeply” and is potentially considering “overlooking” the incident, but he asked if he should break up with her or if it’s “acceptable to continue” in the relationship. He then concluded the post by asking if he was in danger.
People were quick to weigh in on the situation as one Redditor wrote: “This is definitely a concerning situation. It’s like she’s an obsessed stalker. You need to decide if you can trust her moving forward and if you’re comfortable with her behaviour.”
While a second added: “Everyone says this is harmless… did we miss the part where she was taking photos of him in bars? Absolutely not. Any relationship that begins with stalking is not okay.”
“This is a huge red flag. The reason why your relationship feels so good right now is precisely because she’s been stalking you and likely has built up an entire persona so that you’re more likely to be enchanted,” a third penned.
