A man has been left rattled after he stumbled upon a secret from his girlfriend’s raunchy past – and he’s unsure what to do next.
Discussing your sexual history in a new relationship can be tricky. Even if we’re itching to know the steamy details of times gone by, the truth may leave us wishing we’d never asked.
And one 25-year-old knows this all too well, after he found one of his partner’s old sex tapes. The awkward situation unfolded as the baffled boyfriend was looking through his girlfriend’s phone to find an old restaurant recommendation.
The nameless man insisted his partner had asked him to do this and he was not snooping – she even tasked him with going through the chat thread with her ex-boyfriend. But this seemingly innocent request opened a huge can of worms after he saw something he didn’t want to.
“I stumbled across this sex tape that he had saved in the chat. Snapchat videos auto-play when saved in the chat and I was unfortunately unable to look away,” the anonymous man said on Reddit.
“I doubt she even remembered it was in there. She is not cheating or anything and I trust her whole heartedly. However, I am mentally racked now from what I saw.”
He said there was no reason to be upset as he and his girlfriend definitely weren’t together when the clip was filmed. But he now can’t get the video out of his head and doesn’t know how to move forward.
“I haven’t told her about it because why would I? Obviously, I know she has been with other people before me as I have before her. I am just sad,” he continued.
“How do I go about this when she asks what’s wrong?”
Unsurprisingly, the anonymous sex confession was quick to rack up plenty of comments online, with various users also rattled by the situation. One wrote: “I personally delete any photos or videos with a partner once the relationship is over.
“Feel like if you’re not together you shouldn’t have nude photos/videos of them out of respect.” Another also added: “Time will do that, eventually you will forget most of it. And you have to internally be ok with it. Its past. Most people were with someone else before. Being it recorded is only difference.
“But still, inviting you into chat with her ex where is this sitting there… Big fail on her part. Unless done on purpose.”
