A student has been left in a tricky situation after finding the perfect flat boasting an idyllic garden – but there’s someone camping out by their front entrance
A student has been left baffled after they found the perfect flat – but it has a stranger camping outside.
While the anonymous house-hunter claimed the girl doesn’t stay outside the ground floor apartment every day, her visits are much more frequent than they would like and feel especially bizarre considering she is believed to live nearby.
“My bedroom window overlooks the back garden,” the student explained anonymously on Reddit. “There is also a second bench that is not right next to our apartment literally a few feet away in the courtyard.
“So, recently this god annoying girl started to camp out on [that] bench right next to our entrance. She’s there when I come out, she’s there when I come back.”
The first time this happened, the Redditor claimed they greeted the girl like a ‘normal neighbour would’. But she didn’t reply, just staring at them intensely while continuing to sit on the bench, they said.
Things started to get even weirder when the student started noticing bags of dog poo around the bench. They continued: “She has a dog. She’s the only one that sits there. These bags would stay there for a week sometimes.
“…Then, she smokes on the bench and now theres a bunch of cigarette buds on the floor next to the bench – so next to our entrance. Also, this is a minor detail but kind of disturbing, I found cigarettes ash on the window pane of our bathroom…?”
It is unclear where the mystery cigarette ash on the window came from, but other users were nonetheless disturbed by the story. One person wrote: “I would highly suggest adding an outdoor light with motion sensor near that window. I’m not seeing it’s that expensive but I’m unaware how much it’ll cost of you call someone to install it.”
Another wrote: “Camera in that window. Blackout curtains. Photo the dog poo to log the behaviour especially under the bench….I wonder if the dog poo is to keep others away from the spot or to keep her away from the spot or to annoy you guys?? I’d try to catch her doing it, make an effort. Document everything.”
