A dad-of-two says he is ‘living his best life’ since marrying a beauty queen from Nigeria after he messaged her on social media to make dresses for ‘three of his girlfriends’
A “happier than ever” man has opened up about what it is like dating a woman younger than his daughter – and how his family found out about their marriage on social media.
Dino, 56, said he “knew the chemistry was there” when he met his then wife-to-be and beauty queen Joyceline for the first time. The duo, who have a 29-year age gap between them, often have to endure some harsh judgement but say “opinions don’t matter to us and never will” as they “satisfy” each other and “constantly put effort into the relationship”. “I have got caring husband that has deep pockets – I got it all,” Joyceline said.
However, their first encounter was anything but ordinary. Dino, from the US, who admits that he has had open relationships in the past, messaged the 27-year-old Nigerian woman regarding her crochet business. He needed dresses making “for three” of his “five girlfriends”, Joyceline told YouTube’s Love Don’t Judge.
After speaking for a while Dino told Joyceline he could help expand her business in the US and asked if she wanted to fly over. But when Dino met Joyceline in real life, he soon made sure that she was the only woman in his life.
Speaking about when they first met, Dino said: “We knew there was chemistry, we knew it was there. I was a single parent for almost 20 years and it was very complicated to try and have a relationship when you’re a single dad, going to college and putting yourself through medical school.”
Soon enough the pair were married and were living in tropical paradise in Puerto Rico. They have since moved to the Caribbean are planning to get their own boat.
“We’re living our best life,” Dino said. The couple got married in secret and planned to visit Dino’s family in Florida to tell them about their nuptials. However, their plan didn’t quite work out when Dino “accidentally” posted the news on Facebook and his family saw including his daughters Antonette and ZaZa.
Antonette confessed that their first thoughts about her dad marrying Joyceline was “I hope she is older than me”. But she is now accepting of her dad’s wife as they “had a pretty good conversation” after first meeting. “I thought she would fit in with our family because she’s interesting and she’s smart,” she added.
However, the couple are subject to constant judgement online. Dino added: “Some people are like ‘oh she’s just there for the money’ or ‘she’s going to want a young man to satisfy her’ and my response is – how do you know she isn’t already satisfied? How do you know that she doesn’t have everything she wants? You don’t.
“We’re being judged online. People have an attitude, have an issue with her dating me. People accuse her of being a sugar baby or me of being a sugar daddy. Your opinions don’t matter to us and they never will.”
Joyceline added: “I don’t pay attention to any doubts someone can have towards us. If anyone is doubting us, that’s there problem.”
