Liam Bond managed to bag a flight to Milan for just £19 to enjoy a slice of pizza, saving him precious pounds on a Domino’s takeaway
A British traveller headed to Italy for less than the price of a Domino’s takeaway, so he could enjoy a slice of pizza in its homeland. Liam Bond boasted about his bargain getaway, as his flight cost him just £19.
Comparing the price of his usual speed on a Domino’s, which he claimed would cost him £40, he saved £13 on the trip and his food. Liam tweeted a photo of some hefty slices of pizza from Spontini, alongside the tweet: “Fancied a pizza so instead of spending £40 on Domino’s I paid £19 for return flights to Milan on Cheap Flights Club and £8 for the best pizza I’ve ever had.”
People couldn’t believe the outrageous price for a ticket, as Liam pointed them to Cheap Flights Club. Liam’s tweet has been viewed over 3.4 million times, racking up 537 replies, 2,400 Retweets and 41,000 likes.
Adam replied: “What site you using to go to Milan and back for 19 quid haha that’s banging it cost me 22 quid in a cab just to take my kid to school n that’s not a return haha.”
Chelsea said: “That must be Spontini, isnt it? I was there for Milan-Chelsea game in CL and everyone was raving about that pizza. When i tried it, i got why, it was amazing, but the line we waited for it was insane ahhahhaha.”
However, some people pointed out the extra costs of transportation and other food Liam didn’t mention. Cristiano replied: “Plus 16/20 from the airport to Milan, plus 4 minimum for the public transport inside the city and for eight euros you made a slice of f***ing takeaway pizza without even going to a restaurant.”
Jay wrote: “Hotel, taxi & additional food on the way back….or a £19 Dominos.”

Prices at Domino’s may vary depending on the branches and toppings choice, but most of the prices are similar, ranging from £10.99 and £24.99.
