The sparkly shoes have been give the seal of approval from a flurry of brides
Brides and wedding guests alike are singing the praises of a dazzling pair of sandals from John Lewis, celebrated for their blend of style and comfort. The chic Merisa Block Heel Sandals are available in rose gold and black colours – they were also available in cream, however this hue has since sold out.
Retailing at £85, these sandals boast textured leather construction and a modest heel height of 4.5cm. Perfectly versatile, they’re said to complement skirts, dresses, trousers, jeans, and even bridal gowns, as some customers have noted.
The sandals feature a buckle fastening and an open-toe design for a touch of elegance. One customer, who chose them for her special day, shared: “I tried lots of wedding shoes but these were with comfiest.

“With funny feet, bunions and wide feet they were just right. It comes with a cushioned sole so you feel like you’re walking non-air and with fashionable block heels too.
“I will wear these again for the summer holiday and dancing. Comes with a matching smart bag too. So pleased replacing my last Dune set of 15 years ago,” reports the Liverpool Echo.
Another bride-to-be remarked: “Bought these for my upcoming wedding. They fit perfectly, and are so comfortable to walk in – hopefully, no tripping down the aisle for me! The glitter gives a really lovely effect as it moves – photos don’t really show how sparkly they are.”
A husband also left a glowing review on behalf of his wife, stating: “My wife wore these for our wedding and seemed very pleased with them. They stood up to a lot of walking around and dancing in the evening.”
One happy customer took these sandals to a wedding, expressing: “So comfortable to wear during the day at a wedding, through into the evening reception. Great pair of sandals.”
All of the reviews are five-star rated, except one shopper who rated it a four. This means currently the shoes do not have any negative reviews. However, the shoes do not come in a wide fit which could be an issue for some shoppers who may need the extra wriggle room. Also, they do not come in half sizes which is another downside.
You can also find these shoes on the Dune official website where one shopper said they were uncomfortable, writing: “I loved these shoes, just the style and colour I was looking for but I returned them as didn’t find them very comfy.”
Another shopper didn’t like the shoe texture, saying: “I loved the colour and the heel was comfortable. Unfortunately, I found the textured material they are made from was hard and rough.
“It’s used on the toe bed too and wouldn’t be comfortable for me to wear all day for a wedding. Customer service was helpful with issues I had when next-day delivery didn’t happen.”
