A woman shopping on Vinted waited 14 days for her denim mini skirt to arrive but unfortunately her order was cancelled when the seller was left dealing with romantic woes
One woman was furious when a Vinted seller cancelled her order – but many think she had a valid and relatable reason.
Selling your old clothes online is a great way to sort out your wardrobe plus making some extra cash. While it may sound simple, it can be a lot of effort to pack up the orders and get them sent off in good time for the buyer. What’s more, rather than buying expensive new clothes, a lot of people are opting for second-hand items to save extra cash.
One Vinted shopper purchased a skirt for a reasonable £4. She had been waiting to hear when the denim mini skirt would be sent out after waiting two weeks for her purchase – but her order was unfortunately cancelled by the seller. A message exchange between the pair was shared on Instagram which showed the seller’s excuse for not sending the clothing item – it was all down to romance drama.
The individual who shared the exchange online said: “My friend sent me this earlier. She ordered a skirt off Vinted and after two hours of waiting, the order was cancelled. Check out the reason given.”
Under ‘the seller cancelled the order’ the reason provided read: “My boyfriend cheated on me and I can’t leave my bed.” It is believed the customer received a refund for the skirt and had told the heartbroken woman “no worries”. The post was inundated with over 100,000 reactions and people rushed to share their thoughts on the clothing saga.
One individual said: “That’s so valid babe, keep the change.” Another wrote: “At this point, I’d let her keep the money, so she can buy a little treat to cope.” “Don’t let a cheating man stand in the way of your money, even if it’s £4,” a third added.
It seems this buyer isn’t the only one who has been shocked after shopping on Vinted; another shopper was left horrified when their parcel allegedly arrived packaged in meat packaging from a local butcher, and the bag appeared to be covered in splatters of red animal blood. The item was also wrapped up in paper towels, which also appear to have red marks on it.
Meanwhile another was left gobsmacked after their item arrived wrapped inside a nappy.
