M&S is known for their large layer cakes, among other sweet treats, but they can take a toll on your wallet. One woman discovered where you can pick up these M&S goods for less
A woman visited the Marks & Spencer factory outlet shop and was amazed by the cost of a huge cake. There are several supermarkets in the UK with bakery sections, but many shoppers hail M&S cakes as among the best of the bunch.
There are large cakes for special occasions with different designs and flavours. However, these elaborate treats can really take a toll on your wallet. Travel content creator Nicole discovered where you can pick up your favourite M&S goods for a fraction of the usual price. She took to TikTok to share her findings and she said: âOh my God, right, I have found the factory where they make all the M&S fresh food and they have a factory shop.â
The foodie couldnât contain her excitement as she showed viewers the M&S bargains she snagged from the shop.
First she picked up a big bag full of mini chocolate caterpillars for ÂŁ2.50. She also got a pack of flapjack bites for ÂŁ2.50 and she remarked that the pack was âso heavy.â
Nicole then bought a large bag of strawberry and cream mini bites, again for ÂŁ2.50. She explained that the treats are so affordable because they âhave all been slightly damaged,â so they get sold in the factory shop instead of M&S stores across the country.
She then said she found a whole lemon and sponge roll she picked up for just 50p and a sticky toffee pudding for ÂŁ1.50.
Nicole ended by revealing the biggest bargain of them all: an M&S Naked Vanilla cake for ÂŁ7. In store, these cakes can set shoppers back around ÂŁ30.
The price of the cake was so good, she ended up buying two of them. The factory shop is called Park Cakes Company Shop and it is located in Oldham, near Manchester.
Inside the hidden store, she spotted a Doug the Dog cake for ÂŁ2.50 that she thought was âan absolute bargainâ and full layer cakes for ÂŁ10.
The thrifty shopper explained that there are different items on offer each day. She shared: âWe went in for my daughterâs party and managed to get everything for like under ÂŁ10.â
Nicole even found a large chocolate caterpillar treat for ÂŁ1. The Park Cakes Company Shop is open to the public every day from Monday to Saturday but 17-year-olds are not allowed to go in.
The content creatorâs TikTok clip has amassed 1.2 million views, 66,900 likes and more than 600 comments, at the time of writing.

A third pleaded: âNo donât put Park Cakes on the map.â A fourth echoed: âPlease stop putting people onto Park Cakes! Itâs my fave place.â
