The fashion brand is launching a series of exclusive pop-ups across select John Lewis stores

Fashion brand Topshop is set to make an unexpected early comeback to the high street next week, courtesy of pop-ups in John Lewis stores. The clothing retailer will launch a series of exclusive pop-ups across select John Lewis outlets from 3 November.

Four shops across the country, including London Oxford Street, Bristol, Leeds, and Liverpool, will host Topshop pop-ups on their womenswear floors. This move precedes the full-scale launch of Topshop in 32 John Lewis stores, along with Topman in six of these stores, planned for February 2026.

Each pop-up will showcase a handpicked selection of around 30 pieces, which will be refreshed weekly. According to the company, the garments will include “statement outerwear, iconic denim, cult knits and must-have partywear,” available both in-store and via the John Lewis app.

The first 100 customers at each store will receive a complimentary Topshop tote bag, with more giveaways lined up throughout the six-week takeover. On London’s Oxford Street, Topshop will host weekly DJ sessions every Thursday evening starting from 13 November.

Running until Christmas, the pop-ups aim to offer a “seasonal snapshot” of Topshop’s collection. Topshop managing director Michelle Wilson said: “We’ve seen an incredible response to Topshop’s return, and we know our customers are excited to shop the brand in person again. By taking our winter and party collections beyond London, the Topshop pop-ups bring our signature energy and style to locations across the UK, just in time for the festive season.”

John Lewis director of fashion, Rachel Morgans, announced: “We’ve been listening to how excited [customers] are for Topshop’s return, so as their sole nationwide partner, this felt like the perfect moment for a ‘teaser’ pop-up.

“We’re bringing a curated edit of statement winter and partywear to our stores in London’s Oxford Street, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, and on our app. It’s an exciting glimpse of what’s to come next year.”

In August, Topshop made its comeback to UK high streets via Liberty, which became the brand’s first domestic stockist.

Mr Ruis, managing director of John Lewis, said: “We think this is something people will queue outside the door for. We have younger customers, beauty is a classic example of that, and John Lewis is multi-generational, but I think it will bring in more.

“It will bring more of those ‘family day out’ shoppers and as the only place to go for it, we will hopefully be driving customers who don’t always come through the door, across all age groups.”

Michelle Wilson, managing director of Topshop, said: “The conversations we’ve had with customers around the relaunch is that people are desperate to see Topshop back in stores, so we do think we will bring customers into John Lewis that might not have come in before.”
