The Pureology Hydrate Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner Duo Set has been reduced by 40% on Amazon for a limited time only, and it transformed my hair in one wash
In the past, I’ve been guilty of using whichever cheap shampoo and conditioner my parents had thrown in with the food shop – but since investing in professional haircare, I could never go back to a supermarket bottle. Now, my favourite duo has been reduced on Amazon for a limited time.
The online retailer launched its Premium Beauty Week, slashing the prices of high-end skincare, hair care and more until Monday, April 22. Among the deals is the Pureology Hydrate Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner Duo Set, which has been reduced to just £29.40, and it is truly worth every penny.
While I’m aware this is considered ‘expensive’ for everyday hair care, my hairdresser always says you can’t expect a £2.50 product to look after your £200 cut and colour. And the moment I made the switch to salon-worthy picks, my hair was transformed in a single wash.

Previously I suffered from an itching scalp and product build-up, with pimples around my hairline. I had fallen completely out of love with my hair, which would take forever to dry and would often be left looking dull and feeling tacky. So I was willing to try anything.
The Pureology Hydrate Moisturising range is designed for medium to thick, dry and colour-treated hair. It is a luxurious and gentle sulphate-free formula that is said to soften, nourish and revitalise locks.
The main ingredients in Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner are Jojoba oil, Green Tea, and Sage. The jojoba oil moisturises the hair, while the green tea helps promote a healthy scalp, and the sage stimulates hair follicles.
Both have a different aromatherapy blend which makes using them a spa-like and indulgent experience, with the shampoo offering a blend of lavender, bergamot, and patchouli, while the conditioner boasts a minty scent that provides a light, tingling sensation. Sulphate-free shampoos are much better for your hair because they gently cleanse without removing natural oils, which leads to the hair being more shiny, giving that glass effect.
It lathers well and you get that ‘squeaky clean’ feel from it – especially if you double cleanse your hair, as you would your face. It’s the conditioner that I love most though, as it has a really thick, mask-like formula so the smallest amount covers my mid-lengths and ends with ease.
I use the remainder towards my scalp and the menthol in the formula offers a gentle tingling sensation for the two minutes it sits on. Already, still in the bath or shower my hair feels silky as it’s rinsed, but the real results come after drying.
My hair has never felt softer or more lightweight, nor looked as healthy and shiny as it does since using this combo. I’m also finding I can leave my hair a lot longer between washes without it going greasy.
And I’m not the only person obsessed with the duo, with the bundle racking up more than 5,000 Amazon ratings with an average of 4.6 stars. One said: “I usually do not write reviews. That’s because my Amazon buys tend to be typically quite boring. HOWEVER, this is amazing.
“The shampoo foams really well and the conditioner is absolutely beautiful. It has a minty feel to it and is wonderful and hydrating. My hair has been breaking over the last 6 months. I used this product yesterday and the breaking pretty much stopped. I’m still in shock.
“This is a great product for women of colour with type 4 hair who enjoy purchasing high-end products. I do wish there were more reviews from women who have my texture hair, and that is why I am writing this. Hopefully, the brand can focus a little more on marketing to women of colour.”
Another added: “There’s no denying it, this stuff is expensive, but I do really like it. I have coloured treated hair, and swim regularly, so my hair gets quite dry and damaged, but these two work together to keep my hair looking and feeling good.”
A third said: “Leaves the hair feeling like silk. The conditioner leaves the scalp tingling and feels super clean.”
Some have found the tingling of the conditioner ‘too intense’ while others simply aren’t keen on the scent, with one adding: “Absolutely love this shampoo and conditioner, really good on your hair, not a massive fan of the minty scent to the conditioner but overall really good.”
Elsewhere, if you’re looking for professional hair care, Boots launched over 400 new products from 10 professional salon brands last year, including Redken, Ful and Ouai – and there’s currently 15 per cent off many of the products. Meanwhile, LookFantastic also has almost 2,000 products in its professional haircare category.
