Whether you’re headed abroad for a wedding this summer or have a one to attend in the UK, Marks and Spencer has some stunning wedding guest outfit options that’ll suit any wedding setting
Summer is here and that also means one thing, wedding season is now in full swing. With plenty of people jetting off to destination weddings as well as many more sticking around in the UK for home based events, shoppers will be looking for the perfect outfit for the big day.
As someone who is heading to a wedding as a guest later this year, I have been trying to find the perfect outfit for myself. And having never browsed through Marks and Spencer’s website for an outfit just yet, I thought I’d have a look through to see what might catch my eye.
Despite not having a huge selection to choose from, Marks and Spencer does have some beautiful and colourful outfit options that could work for wedding guests. And there are even some branded name options being sold in store and online.
First up is the bright Jacquard Polka Dot Midaxi Slip Dress which comes in either an light electric blue or a grassy green colour and costs £45. The dress comes with a modest v-neck design and settles slightly above the ankle. What I like about this dress is that it has a flattering shape that doesn’t hug the body too much, but I’m not overly impressed by the material.
Next I’ve picked a beautiful dress that can be worn both at a wedding or dressed down at different events. The Pure Cotton Floral Cutwork Detail Midi Tea Dress will cost shoppers £59 and comes in a beautiful blue and white patterned material. The reason I like this dress is it can easily be styled to suit a garden or beach wedding but can be worn again afterwards.
While Marks and Spencer has its own range, it also sells products from other brands, which is where out next dress is from. The Paisley V-Neck Midaxi Slip Dress from Fat Face is an online exclusive and costs £69, so not much more than M&S clothes.
The gorgeous summery print, paired with the thin straps, leg slit and floaty nature makes the dress a brilliant option for a destination wedding. What I love abut this dress is that it isn’t an extravagant design but offers a dainty and stylish look without going over the top.
Another beautiful outfit, this time from Phase Eight, is the Printed Tie Detail Sleeveless Jumpsuit which costs a little more at £139. While not a dress, this product is incredibly stylish and would be a brilliant option if you’re just an evening guest at a wedding. I love that it’s not a dress but gives the illusion that it is with its wide floaty legs.
Last but not least, if you love a bright pop of colour this dress might just be for you. The Plisse Midaxi Column Dress from brand autograph comes in a bright rose pink colour and comes with a retail price of £69.
The dress comes in a less fitted style, a leg slit and slight scoop neckline. I like that this dress is something different and not something you would typically wear.
