A Vinted seller has shared her top tips for being a successful seller as she makes £80 a day with ease.

If your wardrobes are spilling out and you are in need of a good clear out, or you are looking for a way to to get some extra cash, selling your clothes and other unwanted items online could be the perfect way.

Ebay, Depop and Facebook Marketplace have been the go-to destination sfor getting rid of bits and bobs online for years, but Vinted exploded on the scene, becoming one of the most popular apps for flogging unwanted items online.

Seller Frankie, from Berkshire, has done so well on the app that she is constantly able to organise her home and wardrobe, as well as make money every day. The savvy seller says she flogs around six items a week, and now she’s shared her top tips for being successful on Vinted.

The savvy woman says one of the biggest lessons she has learnt is that you don’t just have to sell clothing; you can sell toys, furniture, games, and more on the site. “Don’t limit yourself to clothes and accessories – you can sell homeware on Vinted,” she explained.

She also pointed out that a lot more people are active on the Vinted app on a weekend – so this is the perfect time to make sales, adding that Sunday is the golden day to list. Frankie says if you have to list during the week, she advises listing on an evening – when people are more likely to be scrolling on their phones.

The seller insists people leave “some wiggle room” for their offers. She explained: “So when someone likes your item, you can give them an offer. If I like an item and someone sends me an offer, that has pushed me to buy it before.”

She also says Vinted sellers should “always have bundle deals turned on” to maximise their potential for big money sales. Frankie added: “If someone selling something for a reasonable price, I will often click on their profile and look at what else they are selling, and if they’ve got bundle deals on I’m more likely to buy multiple things from them.”

Frankie also advises sellers to wash their items before they photograph them, and “especially” before you send them out. To get the best pictures, she advises uses a blank wall and natural lighting.

Speaking about mailing, the seller commented: “When it comes to packaging, I’m not saying you have to go out and buy mailer bags – I don’t mind when someone uses like a carrier bag to send the stuff in – but I think the issue comes when people are sending stuff that isn’t clear or isn’t secure.”

Frankie added that she buys mailing bags on Amazon and eBay in bulk so she doesn’t have to think about buying packaging when she sells an item.
