How far would you go to take the perfect holiday photo? One girlfriend was apparently ‘relentless’ on vacation, asking her partner to take photographs over and over again

Taking photos on holiday may seem like no big deal – but it’s left one man outraged.

Many of us enjoy taking a cheeky selfie here and there to remember all the amazing places we’ve been. But one boyfriend claims that his partner often takes this a little too far – and this time, it’s ruined their holiday.

The ’35-year-old’ explained that he and his girlfriend had visited a very typical tourist site on one evening of their vacation. While he wanted to ‘enjoy the atmosphere’ and take it all in, he claimed that she was ‘relentless’ with her requests to take pictures, and it got on his last nerve.

“I got fed up of her relentless requests to take pictures,” he wrote anonymously on Reddit just yesterday. “[I went to] explore a new place in the evening , instead I got asked to take a picture of her 31 times in the space of 2.5 hours.”

The disappointed user was also quick to point out that it wasn’t 31 pictures in 31 different places, but photographs taken in the same spot every time. It seemed his girlfriend was eager to show-off all her best angles – asking him to retake the shot each time it wasn’t good enough.

He even claimed that she wore ‘specific clothes’ that day to be ultimately photogenic. “I told her I won’t do something like that again as I’ve spent all this time and money to come so far and she really affected my enjoyment of the site where we could only stay for one evening,” he continued.

“…She does ask me to take pictures generally if we visit somewhere scenic at home but it’s been much worse on vacation. Dating only a few months and this is our first vacation.”

Unsurprisingly, the anonymous post has since racked up countless comments, with many users suggesting that he isn’t unreasonable for wanting his girlfriend to be less photo-focused. One person said: “Dude, as a guy who is nearly 40 years old I’m gonna tell you right now, it’s not worth getting involved with someone like this.

“I already know this means she’s obsessed with her social media accounts. These pictures aren’t about remembering having a great time on vacation. These pictures are: ‘look how amazing I look going cool places while you have to sit at home not getting to do awesome s***’ pictures.”

Another added: “If you want this relationship to continue, you will have to compromise with her. Maybe fifteen minutes a day for posed pictures, the rest are selfies, and you will carry the selfie stick for her between use.” Someone else also chimed in: “I take plenty of pictures on holiday to remember them later, but not selfies for social media attention, which is what this sounds like.”
