People have been left gobsmacked by a woman’s transformation into a ‘catfish’ – one trick changes her entire face shape, offering a tighter face and elevated cheek bones
A woman who calls herself “one of the biggest catfishes on the internet” has shared how she makes her face look “Photoshopped in real life”.
Canadian influencer Chloe Waters loves experiment with different makeup and beauty hacks. The content creator, who has raked in over 44 million watchers on TikTok, has been accused of faking her ‘before’ and ‘after’ looks online due to the shocking contrast.
In a recent post, which garnered 6.6 million views, the influencer revealed her secret to her tight face and elevated cheek bones – using transparent tapes to lift her cheeks.
The clip shows Chloe pulling her cheek skin and applying the tapes to keep them lifted. The tapes are joined by a piece of string which goes behind her head. She applies three pieces of tape, which helps smooth out her wrinkles and gives a more lifted appearance to her cheeks.
In the video, Chloe said: “I am known as one of the biggest catfishes on the internet. like to use face tapes and makeup to alter my appearance, to look a little bit more youthful. It’s almost like Photoshop in real life.”
She added: “I love face tape. A lot of people are sceptical of it but it works. Why wouldn’t it work? It’s literally pulling your face back.”
To give herself larger lips in pictures, Chloe adopts a pout, pressing her tongue against her bottom lip to push it out. Next, she adds a smaller piece of tape to the jaw area and lifts that area, too.
To finish her ‘catfish’ transformation, the beauty lover applies makeup, showing that the face tape is indistinguishable against her skin, and the strings hidden by her hair.
She adds: “This is how I catfish!” Thousands of viewers rushed to comment on the difference in her appearance. “First date is at the pool,” one individual wrote.
Another pointed out: “The tape will just stretch the skin out more though over time, just like how wrinkles are formed.” Someone else added: “Maybe when I have more wrinkles to hide. I feel that this would unnecessarily stretch out your skin and age you faster.”
But other users commented on her natural good looks. One fan said: “You’re young and beautiful you don’t need face tape.”
Another agreed and said: “Like it’s a difference but not catfish difference. You still look the same just lifted. You’re beautiful!”
