Married At First Sight Australia bride Susie Bradley has been mercilessly trolled over her comments about her looks.
The former MAFS star, who appeared in the 2019 season of the hit dating show, recently shared a tongue-in-cheek clip of herself gazing sorrowfully at the camera, accompanied by the jokey caption, ‘Realising my kids are going to get bullied for having a hot mum’.
Susie, 31, then went on to advise her followers that they too could suffer ‘the same problem’ if they headed on down to her Brisbane-based cosmetic injectables clinic. Although many found the Aussie mum-of-two’s humorous approach to marketing ‘hilarious’, Suzie also found herself having to deal with plenty of cruel comments.
Fortunately, the beauty therapist didn’t let the abuse get her down one iota, and has now poked fun at some of the more viscous messages in a witty follow-up vid, responding to nasty jibes such as, “There are a lot more beautiful women than you and they have brains as well,” and, “I just opened the link and read the story, saw a picture of what she actually looks like. Her kids will be fine.”
With a refreshingly unbothered attitude, the glam mum, who goes by the username @thesusiepearlclinic, chuckled as she read through the barrage of insults. Addressing her followers, Susie said: “You know how I made that reel the other day joking about how my kids are just going suffer when they’re in school because I’m just so hot? Anyway, there’s been so many bloody psycho comments on there. And I think reading the meme comments is funny, you know, like they do in Jimmy Kimmel, so let’s do that.”
In response to one troll who’d declared, “She’s president of her own fan club and definitely not hot,” Susie laughed: “If you can’t love yourself, who can you love?” Replying to another, who’d claimed, “I saw her at Brisbane airport looks like she could be mistaken for a janitor,” a seemingly non-plussed Susie pondered: “I wonder if that was the day I had my jammies on.”
Reality show contestant turned troll buster Susie has a nine-year-old daughter named Baby from a previous relationship, and also shares a three-year-old son named Lion with NRL star fiancé Todd Carney. Susie and Todd announced this month that they were engaged once again, having called off their first engagement in 2022.
After reconciling in May 2023, the lovebirds are now hoping for a relatively short wait for the alter, and are also excitedly looking ahead to expanding their young family. Opening up during a recent interview with Daily Mail Australia, broody Susie revealed: “We want two more babies. So hopefully that all works out. We’re busy people. We like keeping ourselves entertained.”
Reflecting on her wedding plans with Todd, Susie added: “We always loved each other. We didn’t not love each other. It was just circumstances. I knew we both wanted to be married at some point.”
