The 1% show is known for its tricky final question, but show host Lee Mack reckons this was the hardest of all time as it saw a whopping 30 contestants fail and lose the show
The 1% Show is known for its notoriously hard final question – and now people have been left baffled at the “impossible” conundrum that broke the shows record.
The show, hosted by Lee Mack, asks the 100 starting contestants 15 questions with increasing difficulty, with the most elite of players getting closer and closer to the final challenge.
While most game show questions rely on general knowledge, this show is different as it’s based on a set of questions given to 1,000 members of the public, with their answers determining how tough the questions are deemed to be – from 90% to 1% difficulty.
Fans have been left stratching their heads over the correct answer to one puzzling riddle. Lee Mack even reckoned the question broke the show record as it saw 30 people all get it wrong and leave the competition, but do you think you could get it right and walk away with the £100,000 prize money? The question asks: “How many eyes can you see in the image below?”
The contestants were then shown two rows of emojis and letters of the alphabet, but it tricked contestants and viewers. Have you fell into the trap too? We’re about to reveal the correct answer, so lets see how you did. It seems easy, but in true game show form, it’s designed to leave you in a tizzy.
Many people guessed it was 22, due to the letter ‘i’ in the sequence, but it was revealed that the answer was 15. This is because the question asked to count the “eyes” but most contestants were counting more than the eyes. Did you fall for it or did you manage to beat the question and the failed contestants?
If you liked this, why not try another of the tricky 1% questions? The question is: “Edna’s birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen’s birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir’s birthday must be the ‘?’ of January.” It has stumped viewers and players alike, so don’t worry if it takes you a while to try and guess it.
