Jeremy Clarkson’s booze company Hawkstone has released an advent calendar made up of a selection of lagers, pale ales and ciders, as well as spirits like gin and vodka
Jeremy Clarkson’s £95 booze-filled advent calendar has been blasted by customers – and it’s not because of the price tag. The festive collection of Hawkstone liquor, made up of lagers, pale ales and ciders, as well as spirits including gin and vodka, was dreamt up by the Top Gear alum and his Diddly Squat Farm team.
Customers can also expect to find exclusive surprise gifts hidden behind some of the calendar doors, as well as a “to-do” list penned by Jeremy, farm manager Kaleb Cooper, and others. The calendar is the latest popular venture from the 65-year-old TV veteran, but customers aren’t impressed after reported delivery delays.
Some fans have expressed concern their Hawkstone calendar won’t arrive in time for advent, which typically begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. This year, advent will commence on Sunday, November 30.
Many fans have taken to social media to voice their fears and frustrations at having yet to receive their item – especially after the website stated orders would be released from November 1.
Pre-orders for Hawkstone’s latest advent calendar kicked off on September 30, with fans of the alcohol company eager to snap it up.
Behind each window, customers will uncover an alcohol selection made up of 13 beers, six ciders, miniature bottles of gin and vodka, as well as Hawkstone merchandise.
The ‘Jolliest One’ advent calendar flew off the shelves when it was announced, with Clarkson now offering the last box in a competition.
The 65-year-old will be sending the calendar to one customer who spends £40 or more on the Hawkstone website before 11:59pm on Friday (November 21).
A spokesperson for Hawkstone said: “You lot snapped up our Advent Calendars in record time this year.
“But we’ve saved one. The very last one. And now we’re giving it away. It’s time to get started with your Christmas shopping, and we’ve got something for everyone on Hawkstone.
“For the chance to win our last advent calendar, spend £40 or more on our site before 11:59pm this Friday.”
But some customers have requested an update on their deliveries. On Facebook, Julie Louise said: “Not received mine yet. Anyone else still waiting?”
Although Lynne East had a different experience: “Forgotten I had ordered the advent calendar and it’s just been delivered, really impressed and now wishing the days away until I can start opening it!!”
Elsewhere, customer Joseph Robertson complained: “It would be nice if mine arrived for advent.”
Jack Snelling said: “When will they be shipped? Been waiting for ages but can’t wait to get [it].”
Eliza Packer shared: “When do they get dispatched? Still waiting for mine.”
Kimberley Manktelow said: “Does anyone know when they’ll be delivered? Said it would be this week when I ordered but still nothing has arrived.”
David Bell quipped: “Maybe if Santa had delivered mine instead of Yodel it would have arrived in one piece.”
Hawkstone has been approached for comment.
Jeremy Clarkson founded Hawkstone Lager in 2021, originally planning for it to only be sold at Diddly Squat Farm before it was launched online to the masses.
The documentary series Clarkson’s Farm follows the former Top Gear presenter as he works to run a farm in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside.
The show, set at the TV favourite’s sprawling 1,000 acre farm Diddly Squat, has proved to be a major success, achieving record-breaking viewers on Amazon Prime.
