Princess Kate is set to pay tribute to the late Duchess of Kent in a heartfelt way at the upcoming ‘Together at Christmas’ Carol service at Westminster Abbey.
Kensington Palace has confirmed that the Princess of Wales’ annual festive concert will take place on December 5, and will air as part of a special programme on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve with a repeat showing on the morning of Christmas Day.
The first details of the highly-anticipated service were also shared, with Kate set to pay special homage to the late Duchess of Kent, who died surrounded by her family in September aged 92.

On the first Friday of December, Westminster Abbey will be filled with 1,600 people for the service, which will focus on the themes of love, togetherness and community, with guests including people who are leading by example to make the world a better place by giving back to charitable causes.
Kate, who has hosted five annual Christmas carol services, has invited young musicians to perform outside the Abbey as guests are welcomed in for the event.
The performers are set to be from Future Talent; a charity co-founded by the late Duchess of Kent to support musically-gifted children from low-income backgrounds.
The Princess of Wales’ invitation to the charity shows her dedication to continuing on philanthropic ventures, while honouring her life and values of the late Duchess of Kent.
When the Duchess died, William and Kate paid tribute to her in a heartfelt message saying: ” Our thoughts today are with The Duke of Kent and his family, particularly George, Helen and Nicholas.
“The Duchess worked tirelessly to help others and supported many causes, including through her love of music. She will be a much missed member of the family. W & C.”
William and Kate also attended the Duchess’s funeral at Westminster Cathedral, alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla and a host of other members of the royal family.
Kate wore a black hat with a large bow at the back and netting detail at the front, and pearl earrings, with her hair down at the back. She also wore a four strand pearl and diamond choker necklace which belonged to Queen Elizabeth II, which Kate wore to the late Queen’s state funeral in 2022.
