When the Princess of Wales was forced to show her authoritative side after daughter Charlotte threw a very public temper tantrum other mums showed empathy on social media
Mums expressed their support for the Princess of Wales when she appeared to dish out some stern words for Princess Charlotte as she had a temper tantrum.
Princess Kate told off Charlotte in the middle of the runway and reminded her that people were watching when she had toddler meltdown. It worked as it defused Charlotte’s tantrum in Hamburg, Germany, as the family viewed helicopters during a royal visit.
It happened when Charlotte was just two, an age any parent will know comes with its perils – not least the classic “terrible twos” tantrums toddlers enjoy. This one, though, came at a very public moment as Kate and her family prepared to explore the new helicopters.
Charlotte was unhappy she was unable to get hold of a set of papers the host of the tour had handed her parents and, in true toddler style, threw herself to the ground. The outburst, pictured in 2017, was a relatable moment for any parent watching and some shared their empathy online.
One posted: “Wonderful mother, not afraid of discipline.” Another wrote: “Parents know the feeling” while a third stated: “A great moment with Charlotte.”
It happened when Kate was Duchess of Cambridge, six years after marrying Prince William, with whom Kate is thought to be resting in Sandringham House as she undergoes cancer treatment.
William reportedly enjoyed a trip to the pub with his mother-in-law as he spends time with his family following his wife Kate’s cancer news. His mother-in-law has reportedly been staying with the Wales family during the Easter break and a pub customer told the publication: “It was all very low-key, with no great fanfare. He just walked in and through the pub. He appeared to be with Carole Middleton.” However, Kate reportedly did not join them. Kensington Palace declined to comment.
News of the pub trip comes after William interrupted his Easter break to send a personal message on social media yesterday marking his first public words since Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis.
