Kim Woodburn shared her health struggles with her fans, according to her final message on social media prior to her death. It has been announced today that the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ star passed away at the age of 83 following a brief illness.

Over recent years, Kim had taken to posting personal videos on her Instagram, informing her followers about obtaining personalised clips through the app Cameo. Admirers could acquire a message from the ex-cleaning sensation for £25, often laced with her signature scathing commentary.

Yet, in her last Instagram update in March – three months before her death – it was revealed that she was no longer able to create those videos due to her worsening health. The message read: “We regret to tell you that Kim is unable to record any further videos for the foreseeable future due to health problems. Kim sends her love to you all.”

Accompanying the photo, a caption, believed to be penned by Kim herself, stated: “No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!”

Kim’s representative relayed news of her death on June 16 with great sorrow, stating: “It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person.”

The message continued: “Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. We kindly ask that Kim’s husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve.”

Kim’s representatives wrapped up the statement by affirming that no further details about her death will be disclosed, reports the Express.

Earlier in February, Kim’s team announced that she was taking a hiatus from work for several weeks to recuperate from an eye surgery. The television star was most recognised for her role on the Channel 4 programme, ‘How Clean is Your House?’ alongside Aggie MacKenzie.

Known for her forthright opinions, Kim was also a frequent guest on ‘Loose Women’ and ‘This Morning’, and participated in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2017.
