King Charles’ decisive move over Prince Andrew’s royal residence not only sends a stark message to Prince Harry but shows he is getting things ready for “the royals that matter”.
That’s according to a royal expert, who says King Charles III has solved three problems at once by imploring his scandal-hit brother Prince Andrew to move out of the 30-room Royal Lodge in Windsor and relocate to Frogmore Cottage. This follows Prince Andrew’s controversial association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has always denied any allegations.
Royal author and expert Tom Quinn told the Mirror: “For King Charles, forcing Andrew to move to Frogmore solves several problems at once – it sends a message to Harry that, as a private citizen and no longer a working royal, he will never be allowed back to Frogmore.

“It sends [a] message to Andrew that having disgraced himself, he can no longer expect to live in the grand style. And, finally, it means that a suitably grand residence can be made ready for the royals who really matter William and Kate. Charles is determined that Royal Lodge is the only residence on the royal estate at Windsor that is big enough and regal enough for his heir.”
Mr Quinn believes this move by the 75-year-old monarch also sends a clear signal to his estranged son, Prince Harry, that he will not be welcomed back to Frogmore Cottage. A year after the Duke of Sussex was evicted from Frogmore Cottage following his decision to step down from Royal duties and move to California in the United States with his wife Meghan Markle and son Prince Archie, King Charles has delivered a stark message.
The saga continues as Prince Andrew is reportedly snubbing the chance to live at Frogmore Cottage, despite previous hints. A Royal source spilled to the Times: “The King’s kindness is not without limit and there is a very good option for Andrew to move into Frogmore Cottage, recently vacated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which also has the benefit of being within the Windsor Castle security cordon hence reducing
the need for alternative round-the-clock security for Royal Lodge.”
The insider also revealed that Andrew is “taking longer than desirable” to “recognise the reality of the situation”.
