Princess Kate has reportedly helped to heal old wounds between her husband Prince William, and King Charles III, with the father and son having become ‘much closer’ in recent years
Prince William now enjoys a close bond with his father King Charles III, but it hasn’t always been that way.
The heir to the throne carried emotional scars from his often traumatic childhood into adulthood, and it’s understood wife Princess Kate has helped to make peace between the father and son duo. As detailed in his brand new biography Catherine, Princess of Wales, ‘instinctive peace-maker’ Kate has proven to be a ‘calming influence’ on her husband – a factor that helped the couple build such a strong marriage. And it’s Kate who has also helped father-of-three William mend bonds with King Charles, whose key act during his son’s childhood had a ‘detrimental impact’ on him…
In a passage published by the Mail Online, royal correspondent Jobson revealed: “One reason his marriage works so well is that — like the Queen Mother — Catherine is a calming influence on her spouse. An instinctive peace-maker, she has smoothed the way for William and his father to have a better relationship than they had in the past.”
