At first glance, it might look like your average cuddly toy, but King Charles is flogging this Paddington Bear for £275 What’s more, it comes with a stark warning.
The special edition teddy is a collectors item and is being sold at the shop at the King’s Highgrove country home. It measures a foot high and comes in a gift box, with delivery costing up to another £19.95 for the UK or £55 worldwide.
But the Paddington Bear – made from goat hair – is strictly NOT for kids. These particular figurines are deemed to be for collectors only and are not be played with. One customer said: “It seems an awful lot for what is essentially a cuddly toy.”
The product listing reads: “Based on Peggy Fortnum’s famous original drawings, this British-made classic Paddington is not just a toy, but a lifelong companion.

Standard delivery in the UK is £6.95 or £19.95 for guaranteed Saturday deliveries. But P&P is a minimum of £55.00 outside of Europe, as reported What’s The Jam.
It comes after it was revealed The King is selling £136 aftershave from the shop at Highgrove, south of Tetbury, near Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Paddington – a marmalade sandwich eating bear from Peru – has been popular with generations of children since the 1950s. He also appeared in a sketch with Queen Elizabeth to mark her Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
