X users lambasted Channel 4 Location Location Location presenter Kirsty Allsopp over a social-media faux pas about the London Underground. The 53-year-old found herself on an empty Central line carriage this morning (Tuesday, July 1).
In a post on the Musk-owned platform, the step mum-of-two said: “Totally empty tube carriage at 9.20am on a Tuesday morning. Don’t quite know what it says but it can’t be a good thing.”
But eagle-eyed X users were having none of it, and pointed out the obvious. One person wrote: “It’s 9:20 most people start work at 9am. Plus you’re going the opposite way to the majority going into work.”
This sentiment was echoed by a second. “It says that almost nobody would be on the Central Line headed out of the city against the direction of commute at 9.20am doesn’t it? Thick,” they noted.
While a third penned: “In order to be on this tube someone would have to live in the City, commute out to a job in East London and start work past 9.30am or so.
“It isn’t remotely surprising almost no-one fitting that description exists.” And one person even grilled the famous presenter for being out of touch.
They said: “Not sure if you have ever had a normal job but most people are normally at work by then.”
