A Korean dad shared the method to use if you want to replicate Zoey’s iconic towel trick from K Pop Demon Hunters, which left viewers wondering whether it was a real thing. For those not in the know, K Pop Demon Hunters is a film that has captured the world, becoming Netflix’s most-watched film, amassing a whopping 236 million views, overtaking ‘Red Notice’.

It follows three women, Rumi, Zoey and Mira, who are in the band Huntr/x, an all-female K-pop group, who use their music and stage performances to secretly battle demons threatening humanity. They must protect a magical barrier, the Honmoon, from a rival K-pop boy band, the Saja Boys, who are secretly demons.

But one part of the movie that has got tongues wagging is when the band are ready for some time to relax after being on an exhausting tour, and Zoey goes to extra lengths to ensure she is as chilled as possible.

Nick Cho, who posts on TikTok as @yourkoreandad, shared how to do the towel hack, which looks slightly like Zoey has earmuffs on.

Nick explained that in Korean, this is called ‘yangmeori,’ which “literally means ‘sheep’s head’.”

“You know, kinda like a sheep’s horn wrapped around the head? Okay, we can do this,” Nick shared as he proceeded to demonstrate how to do it.

He explained: “So you take your towel, lay it out flat, fold it into thirds, and this is kinda the tricky part. You have to kinda fold in the sides, once, and twice – you make a little bagel.

“Flip it around, do it once, twice. See, then you have this, and then this bit [the middle] is where your head goes.”

At the end of the video, he tried it on, and it looked just like Zoey’s in the movie. “How’s that?” he joked, as he relaxed in the bath.

In the comments, someone penned: “Thank you. I don’t know how we made it this far in life without this information.”

Another asked: “What are the benefits of this?”

Somebody replied: “It’s more comfortable and you can use the sides to rest”. “It makes you look like a cutie patootie,” a woman joked.

What are the benefits of a yangmeori?

The sheep-head towel acts as an insulator and protect the head and ears from the intense heat in a Korean spa, which allows you to be able to stay in the sauna for a longer period of time.

It also prevents sweat from dripping into your eyes, and is also considered to be a cute fashion statement within the spa, so this may be the reason why the brains behind Zoey’s character decided to show her in this way.
