London is bracing itself for 10 days of consecutive rain after a few days of sunshine as we head into autumn. Sunny intervals this week are expected to lead to a pleasant weekend for Londoners, as Saturday promises to be a day of almost complete sunshine with temperatures hitting a peak of 15C, repeating the same feat on Sunday.
But the weather is due to take a turn for the worse on Monday, November 10, with rain lashing down from the early hours of the morning and persisting throughout the day, while the drizzle will continue all through Tuesday, with peak temperatures of around 14C or 13C, according to BBC Weather.
In fact, the rain won’t just linger into Tuesday, but an unrelenting washout will endure throughout next week and carry on into the next. The heaviest days of rainfall are expected to be Monday, November 10; Thursday, November 13; and Saturday, November 15, with lighter, persistent rain dominating the days in between.
BBC Weather stated: “Today will start cloudy and wet with spells of rain pushing in from the south, these clearing in the afternoon. Cloudy with further spells of rain later in the day.
“Tonight will see a cloudy start, with a few spells of rain in places. These will clear away to the north but further will move in from the south overnight.
“Tomorrow will see variable cloud with in the morning, with some bright spells and light rain in places. Clouding over in the late afternoon with spells of light rain. Cloud and rain will clear later.
“Saturday will start cloudy with patchy mist and fog. Turning sunnier in the afternoon with sunny spells developing. Clear skies by the evening. Staying mild on Sunday. Turning gradually cloudy, with patchy rain arriving in the evening, locally heavy.
“Monday looks to be wet, mild and breezy. Patchy rain in the morning, heavy at times. Rain turning persistent in the afternoon.”

- Monday, November 10: Rainfall and light winds, with a peak of 14C.
- Tuesday, November 11: Drizzle and light winds, with a peak of 13C.
- Wednesday, November 12: Rainfall and a gentle breeze, with a peak temperature of 14C.
