Lidl has recalled a staple breakfast good as it could have metal in it. The German titan has issued an urgent recall for Harvest Basket Hash Browns – which come in 750g bags – as they are a ‘choking hazard’.
The recall notice will be shared across all of its stores nationwide, around 960. The possibly dodgy batch code is 5144L with the best before date 24 May 2027.
Anyone with the bad hash browns should take the pack to their nearest Lidl for a full refund. Those with added concerns are urged to contact Lidl at [email protected] or on 0203 966 5566.
A Lidl statement read: “Lidl GB is recalling the product due to the potential presence of foreign bodies (metal) which may present a choking hazard.
“If you have bought the above product we advise you not to eat it.
“Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store where a full refund will be issued.”
