Linda Nolan’s stepson has died of cancer just months after the pop star died following her own cancer fight. Lloyd has died just four months after his stepmum.

A family friend told The Sun: “They were fighting side by side. Linda would finish her treatment and text him to check in. They joked about their meds, shared their side effects, cried together too. Linda really thought he’d outlive her. She needed that belief.”

Lloyd, the son of Linda’s husband Brian Hudson, was diagnosed with throat cancer in September 2023. Surgeons said it was inoperable and he was placed on a course of radiotherapy.

At the same time, Linda Nolan was undergoing immunotherapy for breast cancer which had spread to her brain. Linda Nolan’s brother, Brian, has also recently revealed he has cancer – the fifth sibling to get the disease.

Brian, 69, got the prostate cancer diagnosis days after Linda’s funeral and told The Mirror: “I just want cancer to leave us alone.” Nolan sister Bernie died with breast cancer in 2013 aged 52, before Linda, 65, earlier this year.

Lloyd’s father, Brian Hudson, died of cancer in 2007. In August last year, Linda said: “My stepson Lloyd has just been diagnosed and it’s like ‘go away, leave us alone.’”

Linda’s sister Anne was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in 2020 and is now cancer-free. Loose Women star Coleen Nolan revealed she was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2023, and was using a chemotherapy cream to remove it.

Linda Nolan was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and the disease resurfaced in 2017.
