David Beckham’s MLS club has unveiled its new third shirt inspired by the ‘vintage Miami style’ with nods to Miami Vice and the NFL’s Miami Dolphins
Inter Miami CF has launched its new retro third jersey to be worn throughout the 2024/25 seasons. The Major League Soccer (MLS) club – part owned by David Beckham – unveiled the jersey alongside a photoshoot featuring World Cup winner Lionel Messi.
Designed by Adidas, the retro-inspired third shirt is said to lean heavily on the vibrancy of vintage Miami style. The teal-striped jersey has a white and orange trim, a nod to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and college football game the Orange Bowl.
It also features ‘Miami’ emblazoned in an art deco-style font inspired by the logo of iconic ‘80s series Miami Vice. In an Instagram post, Beckham hailed the jersey as ‘ridiculously cool’, writing: “I mean we have some great jerseys @intermiamicf ridiculously cool.”

The team debuted the third kit during its 2-1 win against Chicago Fire on Saturday, July 20. Miami’s new shirt forms part of the club’s ‘throwback-themed’ archive collection, which also consists of a jacket, Gazelle and Samba shoes, each featuring ‘bold and progressive’ designs.
Unveiling the new kit, the club said: “Drawing on the nostalgic look of sports broadcasting, advertising, magazines and catalogs, the Archive Collection combines different visual languages to create a unique narrative. By celebrating the past while also staying relevant to the next generation of fans, the collection is not just a throwback, the vintage aesthetic and authentic details pay homage to the greatness that never fades.”
UK football fans can pick up the Inter Miami third shirt with ‘Messi 10’ printing at Fanatics for £80, with the ‘Authentic’ edition coming in at £140 and the Kids version at £55. The shirt is also available from Adidas without printing for £80, while the ‘Authentic’ version with printing costs £130.
The Adidas Originals Gazelle trainers are stocked at JD Sports for £95. The Adidas Archive Collection has also seen a raft of new retro jerseys for other MLS clubs including LA Galaxy, Los Angeles FC, Sporting Kansas City and Portland Timbers.
Alternatively, Kitbag stocks a range of new football jerseys, including Real Madrid’s new away shirt. The jersey – to be worn by the likes of Jude Bellingham and new signing Kylian Mbappé – boasts a ‘vibrant orange base’ and an ‘abstract, star-inspired design’, and is available from £80.
