Live: Ealing shooting sees armed police hunt for moped gunman on the run

A manhunt is on for a gunman who fired shots from a moped last night (Tuesday, April 9) in West London. The male was in Hanwell, Ealing, when he shot at a vehicle and property.

The incident took place at Radnor Court/Copley Close at 9.41pm with armed police called to search for him. Copley Close remains closed in both directions due to the shooting.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Officers, including an armed unit, attended. A male on a moped had fired shots causing damage to a vehicle and a property before leaving the scene. There were no reported injuries. A crime scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing.

“At this early stage there has been no arrest. Anyone who witnessed this incident but has not yet spoken with police should call 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 6948/9APR. To remain 100% anonymous call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.”
