Two teenagers were stabbed in a fight in Kennington yesterday afternoon (Friday, July 26) causing the London Air Ambulance to rush to the scene, police said. An 18-year-old man was seriously injured and a 17-year-old boy was less severely injured and was arrested in connection with the fight on Cooks Road at 4.30pm.

The Met Police are awaiting an update on the 18-year-old’s condition. Both were rushed to hospital where they remain. Both their families have been told, police said.

Videos of the Air Ambulance helicopter landing in nearby Kennington Park have been shared online. Videos show the air ambulance sitting on a grassy area in the park surrounded by trees with members of the public coming to inspect the scene. Paramedics were not seen working near the helicopter and were likely at the scene of the fight on Cooks Road.
