A man was stabbed and killed in South East London yesterday (Thursday, June 6).
In a short statement published on X at around 2am, the Lewisham branch of the Metropolitan Police Service said officers were called to reports of a man stabbed in Deptford.
But despite the efforts of police and paramedics, the man was declared dead at the scene.
An investigation has now been launched, and two people have been arrested, the London police force has said.
A crime scene remains in place in the area now.
It has not yet been confirmed exactly where the incident took place or what time it happened. The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for further details about this incident.
