A murder investigation has been launched following a fatal stabbing in an East London park. Met Police officers were called to Newham at 7.38pm on Saturday, July 27, to reports of a fight in Plashet Park.
Officers attended and found a young man suffering stab injuries. Despite emergency first aid by officers, the London Air Ambulance and LAS paramedics the man sadly died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course. Officers believe they know the identity of the man, whom they understand to be 20 years of age. Enquiries are ongoing to identify and inform his family.
Two teenage males were also found at the scene, one suffering stab injuries and a second who had sustained head injuries. Both were taken to hospital; neither is in a life-threatening condition.
No arrests have been made in connection with the killing yet, Met Police said.
