A man is fighting for his life after reportedly being stabbed in the early hours. The Met Police raced to Cotton Street, E14, at around 5.10am this morning (June 1) and found two men in their thirties.
One of the men is in a life-threatening condition, while MyLondon awaits a condition update on the other. There have been no arrests.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote ref 1419/01jun.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 5.10am on Saturday, June 1, to Cotton Street, E14. Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service.
“Two men, both aged in their 30s, were taken to hospital. The condition of one of the men has been assessed as life-threatening.
“We await an assessment in respect of the second man. Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances.
“There has been no arrest. Anyone with information and any witnesses yet to speak with police are asked to call 101 and quote ref 1419/01jun. To remain anonymous please contact Crimestoppers.”
An London Ambulance Service (LAS) spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.06am today (June 1) to reports of stabbing at Cotton Street, E14.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and members of our joint response unit. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated two patients at the scene before taking one patient to a major trauma centre and another patient to a hospital.”
