A person was hit by a train on a South Western Railway line today (Sunday, August 4). Services are now facing cancellations and delays.
National Rail says emergency services are dealing with an incident between Wimbledon and Woking.
This means trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled. Disruption is expected until 2.30pm.
Officials say: “We have received reports that a person has been struck by a train between Surbiton and Woking. Response teams are working with the emergency services to assist with the incident.
“In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all power to the track will need to be switched off in the affected area.”
