Married at First Sight UK viewers were left stunned by groom Dean’s freestyle rap song at the altar

Married at First Sight UK viewers were left gobsmacked when new groom Dean broke into a freestyle rap at the altar, much to his bride Sarah’s dismay.

The 31-year-old London lad is one of 19 singletons who joined the reality show on Sunday (September 21).

Matched by experts Mel Schilling, Paul C Brunson and Charlene Douglas, the couples meet for the first time on their wedding day before embarking on their journey as newlyweds.

Just a few days into the experiment, Sarah, also 31, has already expressed her lack of romantic feelings towards her husband.

One of her main gripes is Dean’s “occasional” singing and rapping, which she confronted him about during their honeymoon, reports OK!.

E4 viewers have also shared their concerns about Dean’s musical tendencies, with many pleading for him to stop.

But this isn’t a new hobby for Dean, the MAFS UK star has been performing since at least 2018.

In an Instagram video posted seven years ago, Dean can be seen performing an original song in front of a green screen.

The caption reveals that this was his “first original rap on stage”.

Although the lyrics are hard to make out, it seems Dean is rapping over an instrumental version of Eminem’s hit ‘Not Afraid’.

While he’s likely to have performed more freestyles since the 2018 clip, it’s clear his new wife is not a fan.

Regrettably, rapping hasn’t been the sole problem troubling Dean and Sarah’s marriage.

During Tuesday (September 23) night’s episode, Sarah went on to reveal that she doesn’t find the Londoner attractive.

When questioned about what Dean could do to ignite a spark between them, she responded: “Get some tattoos and lose some weight, maybe.”

This prompted fury amongst viewers, with many flocking to social media to condemn the bride’s ‘unacceptable’ remark.

One X user wrote: “To fat shame someone is totally unacceptable let alone in front of the nation.”

Meanwhile another raged: “Get some tattoos and lose some weight’, is a genuinely abhorrent thing to say about someone.”

Married At First Sight UK season 10 continues every Sunday to Thursday at 9pm on E4.
