London Underground thugs pushed man down stairs in Waterloo station and stole his wallet

A police manhunt is underway after violent thugs pushed a passenger down the stairs and stole his wallet. The victim struck his head and later required hospital treatment in the brutal attack in Waterloo station at 6.20am on Friday, November 21.

British Transport Police say he was walking towards the Bakerloo line platforms in the run-up to the incident. Officers are appealing for help with tracking down four people linked to the attack.

CCTV images show all four suspects are black men, and are wearing thick winter coats with their hoods up. One of the alleged attackers is wearing a white Superdry puffer coat.

A statement released by the force reads: “Detectives are investigating after a man was attacked and robbed in Waterloo Underground station and have released these images in connection. At around 6.20am on Friday, November 21, a man was walking towards Bakerloo line platforms when he was pushed down the stairs by a group of men.

“The man struck his head, suffering an injury that later required hospital treatment, and had his wallet stolen by the group. Detectives would like to speak to the men pictured, as they believe they may have information which could help their investigation.

“Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 65 of 21 November. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
