Thermostats are set to hit 29C in London today and tomorrow (Wednesday, June 26), according to The Met Office. This will be most welcome after the first half of June was fairly miserable.
However, the sweltering temperatures come with a big issue – trying to sleep. With the mercury hovering around the 30C mark during the day, it will be rather toasty at night too.
Below is an hour-by-hour forecast of temperatures running from 5pm today until 4am on Thursday (June 27).

The Met Office also has some key, yet simple advice on how to keep cool during scorching temperatures. It advises people to drink plenty of water, walk in the shade, stay out of the sun between 1am and 3pm, and to avoid physical exertion in the hottest parts of the day.
