Anyone who witnessed the shooting is urged to come forward
A ‘loving family man’ shot dead in Brixton Hill has been named and pictured for the first time. Police were called to New Park Road at 8.50pm on Monday (September 8).
At the scene, a man was treated for gunshot wounds before being taken to hospital. He died there in the early hours of the following day (September 9).
The second shooting victim has now been discharged from hospital. The victim who died has now been named as 27-year-old Kyrone Moodie.
In a statement, Kyrone’s family said: “Kyrone was a loving family man. He was genuine and determined. He helped everyone he could. Kyrone was just a humble, funny and God-worshiping family orientated man.”
As police continue to investigate the shooting, they urge witnesses or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage of the incident to come forward.
Those with information are asked to call the Met via 101, or online, quoting CAD 7805/08Sep25. Alternatively, people can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
