The M25 has been temporarily shut due to a serious accident and another crash has partially blocked the M4 near Heathrow Airport. The M25 accident happened between Junction 25 for the A10 Great Cambridge Road to Enfield and Junction 24 for the A111 Stagg Hill to Potters Bar.

It was first reported at 7.45am this morning (Saturday, June 7) and all traffic is currently being temporarily held between Junction 24 and 25 and is stationary. The temporary closure of the motorway began just before 8am and massive delays are expected in the area while emergency services carry out essential recovery work.

To the west of London, the M4 spur road off the main carriageway to Heathrow at Junction 4 is partially blocked due to another accident. There are also long delays here heading towards the airport.
