An overturned vehicle has brought the M25 to a standstill in Hertfordshire this afternoon (October 14). Its driver was involved in a collision on the clockwise lanes between J18 and J19 just before 11.30am.

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured. National Highways confirmed a closure is in place from A404 exit in Chorleywood and the exit for Watford.

Traffic is tailing back two miles to before J17 for Maple Cross, with onlooking traffic building from J20 for Kings Langley, according to live tracker Inrix. Drivers should expect delays of around an hour.

The East of England Ambulance Service and Hertfordshire Police have been contacted for more information.
