A third man has been arrested in connection to three alleged arson attacks linked to Sir Keir Starmer. The 34-year-old was taken into custody this morning (May 19) in Chelsea on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life.

This follows the arrest of a 26-year-old man on the same on the same suspicions on Saturday, May 17. He remains in custody after police were granted more time to investigate by Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Both cases relate to three incidents in North London – a vehicle fire in Kentish Town on May 8, a fire at the prime minister’s private home on May 11 and a fire at his previous address on May 12. The Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command is leading the investigation as a result.

Roman Lavrynovych, a 21-year-old man from Ukraine, was previously charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life and appeared in court on Friday, May 16. The 21-year-old has been remanded in custody until a later appearance at the Old Bailey.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to call 101, quoting CAD 441/12 May. The Metropolitan Police is also urging the public to remain vigilant and disclose anything that doesn’t ‘look or feel right’.

Reports can be made to police or via the government’s Action Counters Terrorism team on 0800 789 321.
