The man charged with murder and attempted murder after 15-year-old Rene Graham has been named. Renee was shot dead in a park during a music festival in West London over a year ago. .
Abderahman Boumzough, 25, of no fixed address, was arrested on Tuesday (September 2) and was charged on Wednesday (September 3). He was set to appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court this morning, according to court documents.
Rene died at Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park in Ladbroke Grove from gunshot wounds at around 7:20pm on Sunday July 21, 2024. Police have said a second man was also shot at but escaped unharmed. A £20,000 reward was previously offered if anyone could provide information
Det Ch Insp Alison Foxwell previously said police had trawled through hundreds of hours of CCTV and taken numerous statements. “Rene’s family have continued to be supported throughout these inquiries, and they remain understandably devastated about his death,” she said.
Police say the investigation continues and a £20,000 Crimestoppers reward for information leading to conviction remains on offer, and Rene’s family have been informed and continue to be supported by specialist officers.
